One factor with particular significance for climate control is the site of the housing or enclosure, i.e. the ambient conditions.Industrial environments with their highly diverse ambient influences are generally the most demanding, whereas office or home environments are normally less critical.
At the same time there are countless special situations - e.g. drilling platforms, cold stores, operating theatres - which may pose extreme specific demands.
The ambient conditions determine not only the spatial layout, but also the design form (including the openness of the surface) and the material of the housing. |
