The heat generated by electrical/electronic components is specified by the manufacturer as their power loss, though it can also be estimated from the individual power consumption.
Power electronics components, in particular, are subject to high power losses.
Example: A guide value for the power loss of frequency converters: 2% of the nominal output
If no concrete value is known, and if estimation is not possible, the power losses of the system in normal operation can be determined from temperature measurements.
