The heat generated within the enclosure is transferred to the cooling medium water via a membrane heat exchanger. The enclosure inside air is forced across the heat exchanger by a fan, and the unit is sealed to the environment, apart from the water feed and return connections and the condensation drain.
The cooling output is regulated by way of the water flow rate, dependent on the required enclosure temperature and the water inlet temperature.
The simple construction makes the air/water heat exchanger a robust unit.
Protective measures prevent water being able to enter the enclosure in case of leaks. |
