Electrical devices with electromechanical and/or electronic components can emit interference to the environment via
- the mains power cable,
- signal and control cables,
- fields.
The most common causes of interference are
- electromechanical switching of inductive loads (motors, transformers, etc.),
- electronic (switched-mode) power supply units,
- electronic converters.
