Line-borne interferenceThe line-borne transmission of electrical energy from one circuit to another can result from

galvanic coupling (use of common conductors, e.g. a common earth)
apacitive coupling (capacitor effect between conducting structures)
inductive coupling (magnetic fields between neighbouring circuits)
wave interference (combination of cap. and ind. interference in the case of parallel conductors whose length corresponds to the magnitude of the transmitted waves)
