Line-borne interferenceThe line-borne transmission of electrical energy from one circuit to another can result from

  • galvanic coupling (use of common conductors, e.g. a common earth)
  • apacitive coupling (capacitor effect between conducting structures)
  • inductive coupling (magnetic fields between neighbouring circuits)
  • wave interference (combination of cap. and ind. interference in the case of parallel conductors whose length corresponds to the magnitude of the transmitted waves)
