Practical significance:
- Magnetic fields with technically low frequencies (16 2/3 Hz, 50/60 Hz) in the vicinity of railway overhead lines, aluminium melting furnaces, chlorine gas electrolysis plants.
Countermeasures:
- shielded cables,
- shielded housings (especially with regard to the material, whereby the property permeability is decisive, e.g. mu-metal).
