HF interference radiation
radiated from electric circuits, coupled interference voltages dependent on
- circuit geometry (aerial effects), i.e. cable loops, cable lengths
- distance to source of the interference
- spatial alignment
Occurs in transmitter stations, machines using HF energy (e.g. microwave drying)
Reduction of the effects through:
- shielded cables
- shielded housing (conductivity is decisive, Faraday cage!).
- Earthing does not contribute to shielding.
