The following principle applies for the application of European EMC standards:
References for EMC standards: Official Journal of the European Union (EU), Official Journal of the Regulating Board for Telecommunication and Post (RegTP).
The Product Standard (P) prevails - if no such standard exists for a device or system, then the Basic Specification (FG) is binding.
The question as to the standards with which a particular product must comply, can be clarified by the "competent authority".
