EMC standards - who defines them?
The EMC standards are divided into
- Basic standards
- Basic specifications
- Product family and product standards
International EMC standards are issued mainly by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and the CISPR (International Special Committee on Radio Interference).
Representatives of standards associations and the affected industries in the relevant countries work together in these bodies to elaborate new standards and to revise existing regulations. |
