The EC directive 89/336/EEC on EMC was translated into national law in the EMC Law of 09.11.1992. There exists an obligation to apply a CE symbol (with certain exceptions) as a declaration of conformity with all directives applicable to a product. The fulfilment of the compatibility targets laid down in the directive/EMC law is confirmed by way of a conformity audit on the basis of limit values contained in harmonised European standards. |
