Ri4Power Form 1 as EC&M finalist in the "Product of the Year" Competition
SPRINGFIELD, OHIO, April 2004 - The Maxi-PLS busbar system from Rittal was elected finalist in the "Product of the Year 2004"competition by EC&M, a magazine that reaches over 140.000 experts in the field of electrical engineering. The Ri4Power Form1 system that offers a global solution for power distribution applications in the heavy current sector up to 3200 A was declared the winner in the Power Distribution Equipment category. A board of experts consisting of electricians, engineers and plant managers evaluated a record of applications and selected the finalists for each of the 21 categories.
 The EC&M Product of the Year Platinum Award was introduced 4 years ago in order to honor outstanding performances in developing new products in the electrical industry. The reputable Platinium Award presents the most innovative product of the previous year and honors talent and commitment of the employees who were involved in the development process from concept preparation to sales. The aim of EC&M is to award the prize to the product that allows the experts in the field of electrical enginnering to work more efficiently and more effectively.
 Since the Maxi-PLS busbar fulfils this aim by its unique features it got the top position in the respective category from the jury that listed the following features:
- Simple connections without drilling on all four sides by using components which are ready for connection.
- No bending and machining of the busbar.
- Simple expansion.
Together with other selected products of the respective categories Ri4Power Form 1 is presented as finalist of the competition in the March edition of EC&M. In addition to a certificate Rittal is allowed to use the EC&M logo "Product of the Year Finalist" in all marketing documents. In the March edition of EC&M the readers were asked to vote online for the overall winner of the Product of the Year Platinum Award on the EC&M website.
