Climate control
Climate control of outdoor enclosures
For applications inside buildings, the temperature fluctuations inside the room are generally minimal. Even in extreme locations e.g. in the vicinity of furnaces, the temperature range is limited. For outdoor installations, the range is greater, and at many locations worldwide a range of more than 50 degrees Kelvin (e.g. minimum temperature –15C and maximum temperature +40C) has been measured. The application range of the installed components is crucial when selecting the right climate control unit.

Sunlight
With outdoor siting, the enclosure is additionally heated by direct and diffused sunlight. The fact is that over the course of the day, the angle of sunlight changes, and even at its zenith, approximately 50 % of the enclosure is in shade. The individual side panels also heat up to varying degrees over the course of the day, depending on whether the sun is shining directly onto the side of the enclosure or part of the enclosure is in shade.

Electronic integration
Outdoor enclosures and system accessories as fully integrated system solutions. And of course every form of interim solution. You as our customer determine the expansion stage depending on your concept. The standard range with the comprehensive system accessories is interesting for a quick solution in small projects without repetition. Besides the development of fully climate-controlled enclosures and an international logistics concept the full service of system integration is standard in some sectors. Operators of telecommunication networks - whether mobile or fixed network - focus on a quick roll-out. Therefore it is crucial to purchase individual enclosure solutions with a very high level of integration. Rittal, for example, offers an integration up to level 4 (of five possible) The global alliance between production, distribution and service guarantees closeness to the customer. Worldwide! Wherever in the world you develop and implement solutions for yourself and your customers, we are close at hand to offer you solutions in the following levels:
- Level 1 - Mechanical installation
Mounting of system accessories, e.g. mounting rails, component shelves, swing frames.
- Level 2 - Electro-mechanical installation
Electrical equipment with less wiring work, plug and play solutions, fans, lights, CMC, socket strips.
- Level 3 - Electronic enclosure installation
Modules and units for power supply and distribution, subracks with backplanes, CMC, configured Powerbox, climate control with cooling unit, heat exchanger, "electrical specialist".
- Level 4 – Board level
Customer system technology (hard and software) is installed, complete responsability for interior installation including international service and logistics.
- Level 5 – Black-box and field installation
Completely pre-manufactured, tested and functional system for direct delivery to the installation site.
