Enclosures Rittal Extend Heaters Range To Include 12, 24 & 48V DC Rittal have extended their range of enclosure heaters to cover a continuous thermal output of between 10 and 300W, with voltages of between 110 – 240V AC and 12, 24, and 48V DC. The range also has PTC power management technology, remains compatible with all types of hygrostats and thermostats and can be used inside all enclosure types.Rittal heaters and hygrostats are tried and tested; they are simple, robust, powerful and cost-effective. Using PTC technology as standard reduces wasted operation and energy as the built in thermistor matches output with temperature, prolonging life and providing a long-term solution for the prevention of condensation. Increased heating efficiency on larger units has been achieved by the inclusion of fan assistance. All Rittal heaters are UL, CUL, and V DE compliant and are supplied ready for connection. back to top Off-the-Shelf Enclosure Air-Air Heat Exchangers Rittals air-air heat exchangers are now available off the shelf. The stocked range spans between 17.5 and 80W/K and follows a similar platform design including appropriation to UL. The unit sizes and cut-out dimensions match the TopTherm cooling unit generation which gives the air-air heat exchangers the added adaptability of being interchangeable with TopTherm cooling units, saving on cut-out modification worries. An innovative feature of the new heat exchangers is its unique aluminium interchangeable heat exchanger module. Although the range comprises of only 3 sizes, one size is easily upgraded by using a larger module i.e. modules of 30, 45, and 60W/K which can all fit into one size of unit. As the units consist of 2 separate air circuits, the heat exchangers are all internally circuit protected to IP54. Installation is simple and the units can be externally or internally mounted on either the enclosure wall or roof. Thermal winding protection on the fan motors is also provided as an added safety feature. The units are available ready for connection along with wiring and cutout drawings. back to top Rittal Offer 1kW Enclosure Heaters Rittal now offer suppliers of systems housed in enclosures going into extremely cold environments a 1kW heating solution with the ability to work in environments down to –33degC. The new heating system, available off the shelf, measures only 325W x 85H x 225Dmm, weighs only 2.3kg and comes with approvals including CE, CUL, and UL. Originally conceived for outdoor telecommunication applications involving large enclosures its success and reliability in subsequent smaller applications involving both the prevention of cold temperatures and high humidity within smaller enclosures has proven to be unquestionable. Available with a natural aluminium finish and connecting cable with wire end ferrules, the system is compatible with Rittal hygrostats for preventing condensation, and thermostats for preventing damage caused by extreme cold. back to top New 5kW & 7kW Enclosure Air-Water Heat Exchangers Rittal have extended their range of air-water heat exchangers to include units of 5kW and 7kW that are designed for 230V electrical supply. For mounting on the roof or wall of electrical enclosures the units are equipped with modern electronic safety devices including condensate and leak sensors as well as a collective fault signal. If any component stops functioning, the raise in temperature will trip the over-temperature alarm. Incorporating only two working parts, a solenoid valve to regulate water and a fan unit to circulate cool air, the protected body maximises reliability in temperatures up to 70oC. Both versions have been constructed using high airflow fan units to increase enclosure air change rates, and a new advanced cooling circuit to assure high cooling power even with low water flow rates or higher water temperatures. Supplied with accessories to allow external or internal mounting the units, accompanied by a multi-lingual installation manual, are stocked comprehensively within the UK and are available of the shelf for immediate delivery. back to top Cooling Via Multiple Unit Operation Rittal’s TopTherm design offers users total flexibility for baying enclosures and multiple unit operation through a new master-slave system. The system, which incorporates features such as fault diagnostics, door switch control, and PLC connection, ranges between 300W and 4000W and is available as both a roof and wall mounted version. The master-slave system avoids potential and unavoidable after service charges by the prevention of cooling units operating in isolation. Using a supplied shielded cable and linking all the cooling units together to form a teamwork unit, the system eliminates the common problem of units closest to large heat generators doing the majority of the work. Rittal’s TopTherm Comfort Controller cooling units can use the system by a dedicated socket in the back or bottom of the units. The master-slave layout facilitates common activation and deactivation via door switches, user defined temperature set points, common collective fault signals and temperature logging, thus eliminating the need for intricate wiring. The master-slave system is supplied as a 3m-shielded cable, and with an operating manual for the programming of the cooling units. The TopTherm cooling unit range along with accessories such as quick-change frames, door switches, ducting, and diagnostic software is stocked extensively and available off the shelf. back to top Rittal After-Sales Service With access to a team of highly trained engineers and spare parts that are stocked extensively, Rittal now provide a comprehensive, fast, efficient and cost-effective after-sales service.
